Amino acid overdose.

Need some help so I overdosed my amino acids 4oz give or take to my 200g system. Though I had my seachem stable but it was not. Skimmer is the nyos 220 brs carbon and gfo installed today. Can' do a water change what will happen to my system.

What type of aminos? I don't think you'll need a course of action at this point. #reefsquad, any thoughts on this or if there's negative effects it can have?

ME brand will most likely be an overdose of a carbon source as other aminos. I'm not sure if that much in your size system will have an effect on the oxygen levels or not.

Short term of yellowing of the water.
Prep new water and do a 25% change of water asap.

If the aquarium has a good skimmer, activated carbon and a competent biological filter, with the well-established nitrogen cycle, you will probably experience some increase in nitrates and perhaps some flowering of bacteria or algae ... little more than that, or maybe nothing .

Watch and be calm.

Exactly, I knew as I had a bottle fell in my sump.
Not only me but about 5 years ago a good friend of me Brad I believe his screen name is reeferjunkie dosed a whole gallon of acropower on his 400 gallon with no effects what so ever.

You should do a 25% water change - and check on Ca and Alk levels

I believed that bacteria would use the aminos. This could lower tank oxygen levels

By now you should have done your water change right?

With your GFO installed, carbon reactor on top of that, with the tank only setup for little over a week I can say that you had too much of everything going on.

Gfo and carbon are not running 50g water change was done. Bacteria bloom if finally over. Forgot to mention power company had my power out the day before for 10hrs till I got home and started the generator.

That ain't working too.
Got to stabilize the tank.
Too much off balance in the last week.
Keep doing every other day 5% water change.
Test for your nutrients every other day.

I think you should run some purigen just to be safe - what is your nitrate level as of now?
also in some of the supplements there is phosphorylated protein/amino acids - might be worth checking on that too
