I cant answer that as I only have sps.And are they only really for sps or would they benefit LPS. And soft corals ?
Amino acids like AcroPower were found to provide a good amount of nitrogen. It will raise nitrates. And yes your SPS will love it.Thanks hopefully someone else can put in some input before I drop money on that supplement

I plan to stock more but only soft coral and LPSYou really dont need it with that kind of stocking but you can increase feeding if you think they need more food.
I'm only doing LPS and soft corals would fuel increase nitrates then? Because I don't really want an increase on nitrates lolAmino acids like AcroPower were found to provide a good amount of nitrogen. It will raise nitrates. And yes your SPS will love it.![]()
The fuel will increase no3 also but, it's like dosing amino acids with trace elements and added vitamins.I'm only doing LPS and soft corals would fuel increase nitrates then? Because I don't really want an increase on nitrates lol
Yes. Carbon dosing would be counteractive. Your OP asked about reef roids also? The message there is nutrients in the water column. LPS and soft corals like "dirty" or nutrient rich water. Aminos = nitrates and reef-roids = phosphates. Carbon dosing would help keep nutrients in check, so to speak. If nutrients start increasing, calcification will decrease.I use No3 Pox right now from Red Sea would using that in combination with fuel or acropower be useless then?
The logic is when you run a low nutrient system then feeding coral with amino helps in maintaining the health of the corals but with a system like yours with LPS and soft corals you really dont need to feed them amino. You can increase feeding to keep them healthy or feed your fish more so they poop and thats the best food for your corals.I plan to stock more but only soft coral and LPS

Yes, they should help both and yes, it does help get a greater feeding response prior to feeding. I add my aminos @ 10 min. before I feed no need to feed if the corals aren't sweeping for foodAnd are they only really for sps or would they benefit LPS. And soft corals ?

If nutrients start increasing, calcification will decrease.
no need to feed if the corals aren't sweeping for food
