After water change it is at .25 to.5
I would add prime. Any amount of amonia can be dangerous.
If LR doesn't work in 24 hr. You may need bacteria in a bottle.
Alot of people do add with prazi treatment.
Maybe add air bubbler to keep oxygen up if that's a concern.

Agreed after that large water change should be fine to add an ammonia reducer

I've used Prime with Prazi with no issues. I wouldn't have let that ammonia sit in there that long. Those poor fishies. Get a SeaChem Ammonia Alert badge. It gives you live ammonia readings and lasts a year. It's less than $10 and worth its weight in gold for a QT imho.

I have it but it shows safe but it was used in salt anf freshwater so I used api and that is what it said 1.0 to 2.0 now it is .25 and I have live rock

I have a seachem ammonia checker and it says safe but it has been used in saltwater and freshwater so idk if it is accurate so instead I am using api ammonia checker and it says 0.5. I have live rock in my qt (no copper yet) but ammonia is still rising again. What should I do?

Add more rock and a pump to move water so the rock can process the ammonia and if you you have rock rubble in your main tank put it in your hob filter

Please do NOT use copper if you decide to use prime or any water conditioner on your QT tank.
I would personally stay away from all those conditioners and deal with ammonia by doing large water changes. Bio Spira will also speed up your cycling process.

*from someone who has set up multiple last minute QT tanks*

In the long term, live rock or bioballs or whatever is a good idea, but in the short term, ammonia burn can permanently scar a fish's gills or kill them. I would have added Prime before I even added the fish to begin with. Just don't mix Prime with copper.
