hi all,
I am using coppersafe and ammonia alert by seachem.
the alert is reading .05. is this a false reading from the copper?
Is .05 a concern or should i monitor and if it goes higher then do a water change?

Thanks in advance.

I agree with better safe than sorry but I’m curious to know if anyone knows for sure if I am getting a false reading and also if .05 is reason for concern

I assumed the ammonia alert badge worked in copper, so my guess is you do have a ammonia problem and should do a water change.

any ammonia is cause for concern

.o5 is when I did 50%water change. I always had water ready when I was QTing. Don't forget to add more copper in your water change.

Do the water change. But to dose cupramine beforehand but remember to test cupramine level in the qt after the water change. For weird reason, i had cupramine dropped unexpectedly when changing water even when dosed accordingly.

I’m using coppersafe
