Ammonia at 0 but cloudy water?

My setup has been running for a bit more than a week since live rock and 3 days ago the water was clear but suddenly it became cloudy. I added in red sea's mature program and today when i tested, it was showing:
Ammonia 0 mg/l
Nitrite- 0.5 mg/l
pH- 8.5
There is still a bit of cloudiness in the tank. What is it? i don't think its my sand because the white particles which i can see in the tank is very very fine almost like dust. Pls help. Thank you

Might be a bacterial bloom of some kind. Your're still mid cycle. Nitrite needs to read zero before you add livestock. Just sit back and ride it out. The cloudiness should dissipate.

Sounds like a bacterial bloom, should clear up in a day or two.

you posted some conflicting descriptions but may not have meant to

you posted using live rock a week ago, we don't cycle live rock with the red sea kit, we cycle only dry rock with that kit or any other cycling kit.

a key facet of live rock purchase is that when you buy it, all bacteria are in place for good, none more to add. if you add raw ammonia (designed for dry rock cycling) to live rock, that can make problems. we really need to just see what kind of rock you have. many times its labeled live or thought of that way, though in the pics it will be bone white rock with nothing living on it.

very confusing agreed, but simply put live rock systems get only water changes, we don't add cycling products to them. dry rock systems get the cycling product.
