Ammonia Dropping But

Ammonia might not be actually dropping. Why is the water cloudy?The ammonia is dropping but nitrite and nitrate are not showing on test. The water is also still cloudy. Your thoughts please. Thanks all

other than the average API showing incorrect results being your answer here, it might be possible that nitrates dont elevate all that much.
a month or two ago, when i removed the ammonia source from my 65 gal, it was at 2 ammonia. from the point that ammonia and nitrate dropped to zero, my nitrate was 5 at the most, and this was testing using non api, and confirmed with LFS kit. perhaps my readings were just wierd where i didnt get a whole lot of nitrate, or whatever, but it seems that you may not see a huge spike as to what you think you might. you should obviously see some nitrate if ammonia is dropping, but perhaps it really is not dropping all that much right now
