Ammonia is New QT

Have not added any bioload to QT and from the start I'm at about 0.2ppm of ammonia. Dosed some biospira and still the same thing. Both QT tanks are like this. I have prime but not sure I want to use it since I'm planning on dosing metro and GC. Any advice?

Just got a new bottle of biospira. Only thing I can think of is leftover organics from used equipment. I soaked in vinegar and cleaned. Only thing in the tank is used heater powerhead and brand new HOB

Well there's your answer....the badge is faulty. Maybe contact Seachem and get a new one?

Just curious, you said both QTs... so two badges? Or, were you using the same badge between the two?

Is the othet qt showing zero with api? Could have been a bad batch, there was a thread on here recently about that but i cant find it..
