Ammonia issue???

I came home to my collection cup full to the top of the neck. It couldn't take anymore in.

My tank was a wee bit hazy.

Right before bed I decided to check levels.

I check Ammonia which I normally don't. I have been text mag cal and alk

Ammonia is slightly up from 0 so I did a water change to help that issue out.


Is this normal for the ammonia to do that becoming of this issue????

If skimmer is back to normal again it should be gone in the morning

If it doesn't go down I suggest you use prime to reduce it.

A water change is always good, it's your first step in everything if parameters are off..

Agreed.

As long as you match basic chemistry, SG, temp, alk, and calcium a water change is seldom a bad thing and the best intervention.
