Ammonia nitrite nitrate levels

my tank is cycling i used turbo start 900 suppose they advertise 5 day cycle , these are my readings as of last night Ammonia zero nitrate one nitrates between 25 and 50 do these numbers seem right wondering if i’m messing up while doing the test kits for i’m using salifert test kits geting my first fish today will i be ok

Did your system ever show detectable ammonia? Did you dose any ammonia?

no never dosed anything beside out the turbo start900 in , never detected any in my first couple test

You need to feed bacteria with an ammonia source to establish a nitrifying community quickly. I find easiest thing to do is add ammonia to 1 or 2 ppm. Some prefer a dead shrimp or fish food.
