Ammonia on water depot

Hello everyone this is my first post , i have a 500 lt water depot for my 700 lt tank . Im using depot for my half automatic water changing system. I have saltwater in my depot for a month but there is no pumps or airmakers in depot still working. I use salifert ammonia test and the result is 0.50 . I probably dont use this water but i want to know that way i must to be use for keeping saltwater fresh and healty . An air maker is enaugh ?

It’s possibly a testing error or the salt water is contaminated? What kind of salt do you use? Did you use RODI to fill the tank? You could technically add some bacteria to the water and wait for it to cycle or an ammonia detoxifier but that’s a quick fix if you don’t want to waste this water. Longer term should try to figure out the root cause.

Thank you for youd interest [emoji112].Im using only ro water and there is no way its contaminated. I think its a testing error. But anyway the water is been there about 1 month without any sirculation. I want to know there is any problem if i use this water .

I was told covered water with no light would last practically forever. Someone can correct me if I am wrong.
