Ammonia over dose

Any updates? Im cycling now with Dr Tims (day 4) waiting for my ammonia to drop....
My tank completed cycle at the end of week 4. It takes about a week for the ammonia to drop (depends on each tank condition). Keep checking your ammonia. Once it starts to fall your nitrite will be high. Then both should come down to 0 and then you should have nitrate go high.

Cool, thanks for the info

Howz your cycle going?
Its going good. Thanks for asking.

Im on day 15. The ammonia has dropped to just about 0.

My plan going forward is as follows.
1. Hold off on the ammonia dosing and kick back until the nitrites drop. Maybe a week?? Then ill monitor nitrates.
2. Lets say I get to the point where I have no ammonia and nitrites. Dose up to 1ppm. See if they both drop in 24 hours and call it a cycle.
3. 25% water change

Sounds like a good plan :)
