Hi all,
I am using API to test my QT systems. They have no meds in them at the moment but are testing .25 on API. I checked my reef to compare colors and there is a difference in color for sure - the reef is 0.
I have seachem ammonia alert on the QT systems and they are reading 0.

Could the API be giving me a false reading from some residual medication?

Thanks

In this case I would trust the badger just because they have been known to be more reliable. Yes API tests are not the most accurate, but it is a starting point for most reefers, myself included.

I would trust the badge, it could be off, conceivably but if it’s under 3 months old I’d hold true.

Did you use any live bacteria products such as dr tims or biospira?
