Can you use Coppersafe and this filter media without problems?

I do large water changes, then add new copper for proper levels. I don't know if that pad would remove copper or how fast it actually removes ammonia. Thus the large water change

The filter pad won't hurt the fish but it will remove the copper-- negating your efforts.

Large water changes and re-dosing is your best bet.

So, it sounds like it would work well for when you're done with copper treatment and have done a large water change but want the last of the copper out?

I don't like the idea of using any ammonia reducing products in conjunction with copper.... even a filter pad. When removing copper there are other filter pads out there that are made to do that (Polyfilter for example) that run no risk of turning the copper toxic.... not to mention that carbon or cupusorb does a great job of it as well.
