My poor tank has gone through some trauma this week. In my campain against GHA I pulled out 3 of my largest rocks and scrubbed them in RO to remove as much of the algae as I could. Stupidly this triggered and ammonia spike but it wasnt too bad <0.25ppm. Then my neighbours 2 year old knowing my tank was feeling vulnerable emptied 30g of Hikari Sea Vegies into the tank. I scooped out and syphoned what I could and that night I rinsed out my cannister filter to remove whatever was trapped in there. My ammonia spiked to almost 1ppm the following 2 days and now I had <.75ppm yesterday and around 0.5ppm today.

Should I be not feeding at all till its 0. My keyhole angel, bristletooth tang and damsels have been nibbling at my algae growth but I am worried that my ocelaris and niger trigger arent getting food.

tank - 80g softy dominant some LPS 6 months old 25kg live rock + ceramic cannister filter

anyone have any other advice? anyone know how long it will take to recycle?

Any ammonia is bad. I'd be doing water changes.

I did 50% yesterday. it appears to be coming down by 0.25ppm per day which means itll be all good by tomorrow night

looks like the only livestock that really suffering is my pink torch which has entirely retracted one of the heads and looks like that head is practically dead. My lobster and shrimp all seem happy. I can deffinetely tell that my fish are getting less oxygen though its not to bad seeming
