AMMONIA SPIKE?

I am using API QUICK START, my ammonia after the problem of my frosted glass had to take down filter and ammonia went up . I am dosing API QUICK START for 3 days now and changing water about 30 % after five days, ammonia still high but fish still living. My question is can I double the API QUICK START more than what the bottle states.

Does anyone have experience with API QUIK START. I quess after changing all my filters everything went down hill. Ammonia reading 1.0 now> Hope someone has a answer for me.

Never used API quick Start, but I did dump a 1/2 bottle of Fritzyme Turbo Start my LFS gave me when I set up my aquarium.

not sure I follow what you’re saying about the problem with your frosted glass and taking down your filter. Perhaps you can let us know what filtration you are using now and how you tested to determine the ammonia level.

I hate to sound hasty, but this stuff is as weak as their other products such as melafix-pimafix- algae fix, etc and not as effective as many others out there such as Micro Bacter7 or Microbacter XLM or Dr. Tims.

Looks like you had a massive overdose on your calcium, did you correct that?

Hello - Frosted Glass

I used Calcium Chloride in my saltwater tank, and Now my glass looks like Frosted Glass, how can I get this off? I scrub it with no avail Help: Looking down from top side water is clear Help Help

Hang over filter and tested with API Ammonia Test Kit
