@KearlyFries, I added fish when the cycle was complete but only add one or two depending on the size of your tank. For example, I have a 225 that has about 200 gallons of water give it take including the sump rock work sand etc. I added two very small clown fish a watchman goby, and a bicolor blenny two cleaner shrimp and one pistol shrimp, I know that my sound like a lot but it is not in this size of tank. Especially for as small as all the fish are.
Also, what kind of plan are you making for Quarantine, or safety stop for fish acclimation?
what are your plans for nitrate and phosphate control as these things will start algae blooms in new tanks like crazy. Especially if you are turning you lights on full blast.
currently, my light run not higher than 20% (3 Kesseil a360 tuna blue) my t-5’s stay off and my photo period is only 7 hours right now, that was just increased from 4 where is ran for a week or two, and before that was nothing besides the light in the room.
these are just things to thing about, I test twice per week to learn how this tank is going to trend, and I am still setting things up such as adding Cheato to the fuge running that light from midnight until 14:30 over my sump.
The idea there is to get the cheato to consume or uptake the majority of the phosphate and nitrate.
