I finally got my tank ready for fish and I introduced a few fish in at separate times obviously cuz I didn't want to shock them all but after 2 days my nitrates and my ammonia levels are rising what can I do to lower these I have a bottle of prime but I don't know if I can put that in there with the fish and I'm getting more water today what else do I need to do thank you in advance

Do not add prime - alternative and not a solution
Water change likely but before that- assure you’re not getting false readings. What test kits are you using?
How much are you feeding?
What method of filtration are you utilizing?

I have 2 hang filters 110 and a 70 and I only feed every other day. I've only had fish for 3 days. I use the API marine saltwater master test kit. It is a 55gal tank.

API kits are not very consistent/accurate. try to invest in something better like hanna or red sea, or even salifert.

Agreed that the API test isn't accurate when it comes to ammonia.

Reason as stated I asked about the test kit - api notorious for false readings. To verify, , take a water sample to a trusted LFS that does Not use API test kits and see what readings they come up with and for comparison. I have a feeling it is higher than you’re seeing
