Hi everyone, Friday night I had a heater blow up in my 40 gallon breeder tank. Most corals are starting to look a little better but are very PO'D. I lost a Sail fin tang, yellow tang and a Fire shrimp. My biggest issue is that my ammonia has spiked to between .5 and 1.0. Saturday morning I did a 25% water change, added Prime and cleaned all filters and replaced carbon. Checked ammonia and it remained the same. Sunday morning I did another 25% water change and added Prime checked the ammonia again with no changed results. Monday and Tuesday morning I did a 10% water change, added Prime and still no change. I am going to continue 10% water changes and adding Prime daily, do you have any other suggestions? I'm all ears! Thanks

Maybe add some Dr tims or bio spira. Did the heater electrocute the tank? If so it may have killed some of your beneficial bacteria.
Are there any more dead fish, snails, crabs, etc. behind the rocks?
