Amoo's Dream Pasture

Hey @Fin I really like those screens, did you pick those up from a local hardware store or did you order them?
Premium Aquatics - Lifegard Aquatics 1" Slip Low Profile Screen It is not a perfect fit, but I cemented them into the 1" M-1's input bulkhead with a little persuasion.

Those are low profile strainers for bulk head fittings.

eBay or BRS.

like $3

Whoops. Beat me to it Fin!
No problem. I am old and slow, so it is nice to be able to beat anyone to anything. :-)

I had to sand one to fit on my nano

They must be metric.

@Fin provided a link so all I had to do was click then click add to cart, you would have lost by default @dantimdad

I did have to figure out how to get to free shipping still though and puddled around and ordered some more NLS pellets as I'm running low anyways.

I don't drink beer. Would you mind if I bring some good Vodka? Yes...you can dose your tank as long as I can dose mine.:)
Lol I wanna play, I’ll bring vodka or mixers and food, I love to cook
And I love this thread @Amoo :D

Just a quickie few updates this morning. Got some work done on the stand this weekend. You can see the results here sitting next to the sump:

I also have a ton of extra rock left over from when I had the 125G so I figured I'm make a few of my own "prime cut" macro rocks. The blade on the miter saw is about toast anyways so I figured why not finish it off for good.

The goal this week is to get the stand built this week, but it's not exactly as simple as just assembling it. You see the stand dimensions will not fit through any door or window in the room. So I have to assemble the top and the bottom separately, then build the stand in place. So the next few days will be me getting the top and bottom put together, primed and painted. Getting pocket holes cut into all of the vertical pieces and getting them primed and painted, then waiting to install.

Oh yeah it's going where my current tank is.

Oh yeah I'm going to tile this room eventually anyways so I'm going to be throwing some tile together where the stand goes in the middle of it all.....

After having to redo our kitchen, the wife is getting granite counter tops and I'm getting my dream tank. Most folks will probably be surprised with my selection, but my dream tank was something that was 48Lx24Dx18-20H. Enter this:

This would be the new Innovative Marine INT-100. C2C overflow, bean animal plumbed 48x24x20 or approximately 100G. This is exactly what I have been looking for. Rimless tank, black silicone, perfect dimensions, bean animal plumbing...etc Unfortunately these tanks haven't quite become super available yet. I took a flier and emailed IM CS and got in contact with Paul Chung. Paul asked me to call him and see what they could do. Paul spend a good 30 minutes on the phone with me trying to find a local distributor that may have some, but we had no luck. He looked through their system and was able to find 1 he could free up. He did this, took my payment over the phone and got the ball rolling. In two days since then, the tank has already moved from CA to TX and should be delivered next week!

My first tank was an IM30L. I will say the quality is VERY good, and IM customer service was always excellent. Not just for the tank, but accessories and equipment as well. Good choice!

I’m happy for you and am really looking forward to seeing this come along!

Sweet!!

So I figured I'd drop a quick picture of some of the stand work and lo and behold something jumped up on top of the stand and photobombed me while I was doing so.

Anybody have any ideas on what I am to do with this?

I’ve been in that situation before, it’s not as bad as it appears.

It’s very much like reefing, slow n steady will provide excellent results!
