Amount of fish in QT.

Got a really good deal on some fish. A zosters, 2 black and white occellaris, 4 bangaii, ywg, 2 wrasses. Blue head and carpenters I believe. Gonna end up in a 90 that has no livestock yet. I have a 29g, 20l, and 10 at my disposal. Any recommended way to QT them? Who goes with what, etc.... and how should I introduce the to tank?

I would say put the clowns and YWG in the 29g, the wrasses and cardinals in the 20l. clowns and gobies tend to pick a small area to hang out in and don't swim far from their comfort zones. The 20l will give the wrasses and bangaii more swimming room.

How bout the zosters (pyramid) butterfly? In the 20l so it can move?

I personally don’t put more than 2 3-4” fish in a 29G QT I have. A max 5 small fish for me and I’m a little too nervous to try because of ammonia and stress management.

Got it. Thanks. These are tiny fish. Biggest is pyramid at 2". Gonna do pyramid in 29, wrasses and cardinals in 20l, and clowns and goby in the 10. May put 2 of the cardinals in with the butterfly.

With small fish the 29G is fine if you use BioSpira or Dr Tim’s and a biowheel or something of the sort with a sponge material behind it to live in.
