Well the rock i ordered and never got delivered due to getting lost and damaged and reordered arrived,Yea. I ordered 30 pounds of rock for my 29 gal tank, and it looks barren, for any of you contemplating how much rock per gal to put in your tank, i don’t know if it was the type of rock or what, but 29 pounds in my tank is not near enough.May end up buying dry rock to get it to where i think it looks good, just a thought.Any thoughts or ideas would be appreciated, thanks.

I think that poundage rule doesn't take into account the density of the rock. A certain poundage of one type of rock may be half the actual amount of another. I bought 100 pounds of CaribSea life rock and used about 90 pounds and threw the rest in my sump.

Depends on the rock and what type of scape you want.
This is about 30lbs live rock and 30lbs caribsea dry rock

in my 120.

Just don't forget to take coral growth into account. The rock scape is merely one part of the final scape.

Called premium decorative live rock from Gulf Live Rock in Florida
Ah, so it's wet, right? See how the 'pounds per gallon' rule is kinda silly.
The right amount of rock is the amount that looks good to you. Some people go very minimalist, others want a whole wall of it.

this is 30 pounds of rock in a 29 gal , as a noob this does not represent what i thought was coming, thoughts, as far as looking light i thought

When coral starts growing on that it can quickly take up space. I wouldn't add more than 2-3 similar sized rocks - just to add some caves and visual interest.
