Been having issues in my somewhat new tank (about 9months). Odd things like very high cal and alk consumption, no coralline algae, and the inability to keep corals alive. System ran dry on NO3 and PO4 for a long time so I think that was the issue. I am trying to ID the problem now and Dinos seem to come up again and again in suggestions for what could be causing this.

Bought a microscope and went to work searching. Found a few dinos here and there but nothing that I would consider an issue... until I scraped the bottom. I have a bare bottom tank and when I sampled the debris on the floor I found what I think is large cell amphidinium. I am looking for a confirmation so I can proceed with treatment measures.
