This isn't a super informative thread - but I've got giant amphipods living in my coral QT tank. I just happened to shine a flashlight into it late last night - after all lights out, and the back wall was crawling with little buggers that were probably a half inch when not all curled up. They scattered, but that tank is absolutely full with them. Those - and then a zillion all-white brittle stars that are covering absolutely everything day/night. I don't mind any of it - and I wish I could get bigger colonies to live in my DT. I used to have tons of amphipods in there, but the wrasses have made short work out 'em.

I've QT'd dozens of different corals in that QT and I've never had a problem with things being eaten or dying off - so I guess these are the good guys. I might grab some with a turkey baster tonight and give the fish some fresh eats.

I also have some huge amphipods in my tank. After my tank went fallow, they exploded along with normal copepods. Every time I go to clean my surface skimmer in the sink, anywhere between 10-15 of them will get washed out.
