Hello R2R,
I have been culturing Amphipods for quite some time now and have a good mass in a breeder tank, refugium, and main tank. Breeding these crustaceans is simple to do and the benefits are COUNTLESS! They do a very good job eating detritus, left over food, and are BETTER for your finicky fish like Mandarins, Ruby Red Dragonets, Leopard Wrasses, Butterfly's, etc.
So what are Amphipods? I like to call them BREEDING bugs as they reproduce very fast and successfully. Typically, 1/5 females will carry a orange-ish sack under their bellies which are stuffed with eggs. I have witnessed countless Amphipods breeding over and over again...yeah my eye's hurt. It is very simple to do! All that is required is for you to get a tank of any size (preferably a 10g), small heater, overflow, air bubble stone/pump, and any circulation pump. With this kit, you will be off forming your very own breeder tank.
OR you can simply put one of these Amphipod Breeder Kits into your refugium and let nature take its course!
They are a GREAT benefit to ANY tank and are a better option compared to frozen foods as these babies will not die off and rot causing nasty NO3 and so on.
I also have Chaetomorpha and Grape Caulerpa by the POUND! I have grown this Chaeto for over a year and it is time to trim it up again. Six months ago I added a small strand of good Grape Caulerpa that has mixed itself with the Chaeto to form a very nice mix of Macro Algae! The pictures below says it all!
Enough with me babbling and time to put up some packs. I have 4 Amphipod Breeder kits and 2 pounds of Chaeto/Grape mix available at the moment. I could do with more I want to make these packs fat first
Amphipod Breeder Kit (4 Available) - $49 + $50 Priority Overnight Shipping through FedEX Express! Total of $99!!!

Bagged just for reference. I put all Macro Algae back into my refugium and will be packaged to order!

Oh yeah baby...that is some dank grape!

Amphipods of All sizes
Largest ones are about half an inch!

No dirty jokes people!!!
