is this an amphipod? Looks different from the ones i am used to seeing. Should be a video link in this post. First time posting a video
 
Yeah that would not be good. I got a high power flashlight out and got a slightly better video didn’t know if this confirmed it was a cirolanid or possibly suggested it was something else.

I’d say it’s a male sphaeromatid
 
Oh okay, interesting. After some quick googling, it does turn into a roly poly or whatever like sphaeromatids are supposed to. My only question was that it appears to have tiny front antennas on my video. Do sphaeromatids have tiny front antennas?

Good point. Maybe cirolanid then, hopefully not Aegid :eek:
 
Googling aegid isopod is nsfl, hahaha (some of those things get scary huge). Wow all this uncertainty makes me really not want to put this chaeto i bought and had shipped into my tank.... might just burn that $20 instead.
 
If you have these, you should definitely consider removing them.
