I think my pod population has took off. I have been adding nori to my feeding regiment. Small scraps at night after the fish tear it up, none in the morning now. I also have 3-4 amphipods in my skimmer every morning. I get them out, and put them back in the tank. I think I am well established now. I added copes and tigs too. I do notice my fish pecking and looking over the rocks a lot now.
