Each night, as the white lights go off, followed by the blues on the left side, these hermit crabs gather on the Montipora setosa coral. They'll go to any of several corals and frags in the tank, but this one's their favorite - and this is where they'll spend the hours of darkness:

Anyone else have any critters with an unusual bedtime ritual?

My hermits do odd things like that too! I have these ones I collected from a bay near me which stay tiny and are very lazy.
Each night before lights oit they would all line up along the front of the tank and "tuck themselves in" by covering their shells in sand and just having their legs exposed. So cute aha

Hermits are so strange, I have to wonder if they release a pheromone type of substance that makes them do this.
In my old sps tank at 5 pm everyday a couple hermit would climb to the tips of the stags. Nothing special happened at 5 pm, so no clue why they do this. This behavior reminds me of Chitons and Limpets that often return right to the same spot after being out and about, how to they find their way back to that spot?
