Bubble tip anemones

Why do they bubble
And how do we get them to bubble?
Have we come any closer to working this one out?

Light is at least part of the answer part of the time. I had one that bubbled in the light and the parts that were shaded were not.

I have 4 directly under my lighting. Sometimes they bubble, sometimes they don't. Been that way for years.

I have some just an inch apart that one bubbles and one does not. Then they swap who bubbles and who does not. No change in lights or flow for either of those 2 examples. Doesn't matter if I feed them, do not feed them or move them. They just do what they want to do lol.
