I run one on my tank. No issues what so ever. Yes they are terribly expensive and not always the right option for everyone.Not seen this ATS available before, well I am in the UK but I know I don't care for it. Looks to be using 2 black box type for lights. You can see the fan grills and it looks very bulky plus it's quite expensive almost $1400. Lots of heat in the cabinet I would think plus drawing in salty air won't do the electrics good. I am surprised BRS sell them. I could be wrong of course but not for me. Turbo Aquarics still the best I have used. Anybody running one tell me my fears are misfounded.
I love how easy it is to use. And some key features. Very minimal light spillage. Only from the fans vents. The air it pushes out is warmer of course. A $15 clip on fan pushing air away would help. You can just pull the drawer out and lift the screen out. No need to unhook anything or shut anything off.
By far the best turf scrubber out there in my opinion if you are willing to spend the money. I have no complaints
How long have you had it on your tank and do you have it in the sump cabinet?
You tried them all then or what do you base your statement on? I have had a few inc DIY, Turbo scrubber Santa Monica HOG2 and a Surf Seabreeze and currently have an Atlantis 3 on my 100gallon. Friends have had a couple more. From the ones I have had the Turbo was the best. Compact, very well.built, proven design, long lived, best components used and works extremely well.
Minimal light spillage and ease of use is what made me choose it over others
Going on about a month now and I’m having great growth on the mesh. I was forced to plumb it outside the tank and I’m 100% ok with that. Its got a sleek design and minimal light spillage. I didn’t have enough height due to my tank stand not being the tallest
