I was wondering if these can be used as cool packs for shipping corals?

Cut 6-8 ice blocks off for these

Yes I used one just like the 1st one you posted the other day. I put my corals in the box then put a peice of styro over them with only the corners cut off this keeps the ice from touching the bags and getting the corals to cold. put the ice pack on top on the layer of styro

Ok so will any of those work?

And could i just take a 1/2 gal ziploc stuff it with newspaper and put the pack in the center of it

I wouldn't use the last ones as I doubt they will stay frozen for a very long time.

I agree with everyone. The last ones would def thaw too quickly. I have even had some people ship with a bag they filled with water and frozen.

im using one similar to the 1st in my shipment to va today

Well I make my own ice packs nowadays using gelatin and water and they work great.
