I guess if the probiotic differs, please let me know, but I'm assuming it doesn't?

Otherwise is there more data on the content than this?
Cl – 19000-19500 mg/l
Na – 10500-10600 mg/l
Mg – 1300-1380 mg/l
S – 840-890 mg/l
Ca – 410-440 mg/l
K – 380-400 mg/l
F – 1,2-1,3 mg/l
Fe – 0,08-0,09 mg/l
Sr – 7-9 mg/l
dKH – 7,4-8,2
pH – 7,8-8,2

I assume that's 1.024? May I ask is that fluorine or fluoride? (any reason it's in there?)

Thanks very much!

Weird to see the total alkalinity so low with what has been said about them tryin to match nsw. Borate is a factor in most hobbyist test kits. I don't have the best memory but I have spoke with someone I respect about this a few times. Our test kits should read 172 ppm if everything is at nsw. Approximately since we can never be perfect. 9.63 dkh or so?

All of them has same contents but they differ by probiotic bacteria and amino acid content.
Its Fluorine and generally its been observed with ULNS system that it helps not only to boost calcification process but it also boost pastel shades of corals as it can help corals in expelling their zooxanthellaes. Some people also stated that it helps in promoting blue colour but that part is debatable.

Ahhh, perhaps that the additive by zeo that 'brings out the pastel colors'? Iirc that's one of them I never used, don't like the light pastels really. I should have added the link, I think that was the probiotic stats I found on a random page. Does the regular reef salt contain it?

Thanks very much, pretty interested since this is obviously a new VALID player to the game. :)

Yes the regular reef salt also contain this but that is at par with nsw and if you dont add more from outside by dosing then its fine for the coral growth as its help in calcification too.

Any other comments as to why the salt is better? Apologies, just started reading about the system, looking to learn all I can! :)

I was using Tropic marin Pro when I shifted to this salt and system. I like to kep my dKH at 7.5 and both the salts fit in that criteria. I dont think there is something outstanding in the salt itself other than one thing which is its solubility. This salt dissolves within 5 minutes without any residues which is fastest across any other salt I have used. The salt is cheap too. I think this salt with other components of the system makes it a complete great working system.

what are the ". I think this salt with other components of the system makes it a complete great working system." other components you are talkig about ?

so if i replace the red sea salt with the aquaforest basic one ( not probio salt) i have to dose somehting other than alk, calc and Magnesium?

If you use the reef salt you can either use their 1+2+3 components or you can make the same using their recipe to supplement alk, calc magnesium and all other elements together. Also to make the whole thing work you need to dose their ProbioS and NP pro to maintain a probiotic environment to achieve ULNS. Then depending upon system need vitamin and amino.

I'm at the end of my tropic Marin pro reef salt and am deciding on whether to change salts.... Tmpr dissolves fast, leaves no residue and has the alk I want... Why change to AQ reef or Probiotic???? The Reef salt is cheap but there's quite a premium for the probiotic salt... Is it worth it? Why? Not theory, real world answer.

Get the AF reef salt you dont need the probiotic one. You can dose it manually. The parameters will be like TMPR.
