I've come to realize that many inverts I toss in to the tank are gone. With the exception on my anem and hermit crabs, the other inverts are gone! Like today I added a sand sifter starfish, gone. The past few weeks 3x emrald crabs, gone! Brine shrimp eggs in the refugium, gone! Cooepods, gone! Even the shrimp, who zealously guarded his/her powerhead is now only able to be located when his antennae (?) stick out...

How much money do we waste buying things just to watch it dissappear I wonder?

Gone or just not visible to you?

I put three emerald crabs in a couple weeks ago. They disappeared almost immediately... but I've seen two of them, maybe all three, a few times since. They are just really hard to find/spot.

Had a Shark Nose Blue Goby was out and about for months. Then it disappeared... thought it was dead. Nope, just decided to hide for a couple weeks. It's back, out and about again.

I guess you could consider "not visible" a waste of money.
