Today I am hoping to figure out a way to add this piece of liverock
(pictured below)
to my aquarium WITHOUT the light green algae covering it.
Now as you can see there is still corral he encrusted algae deposits all over it. I want to keep that but not the green stuff.
I am not interested in soaking it in bleach or boiling it as I want to keep and hopefully culture all the biological benefits it has to offer my tank.
I have it stored in a 10 gallon container at the moment.
Here are two ideas I have/what do YOU think.....
Idea no.1: Treat it with isoprophyl?
Idea no. 2: Use my phosban reactor to suck the algaes phosphates etc out of this containers water?
