My clown decided to take the jump last night, and I found him in my dogs toys this morning. They have been in the tank since the start. Pretty rough morning for me. What happens now? Can I buy another and hope they get along, or what's the best practice here. Should I buy 2?

Get one that is smaller, and it should be ok. I've done this many times over the years, and have never had a problem. By smaller I mean an inch or less, they are instantly submissive to the existing clownfish.

Also get an acclimation box that you can put the new one in just in case your established clown attacks it at first which has been known to happen.

Expect there to be "posturing" and some bumping around, but shouldn't be any real harm done if new one is smaller and understands it's place.

Do you know if it was the male or female that jumped? Since you referred to it as ‘him’ does that mean it was the male?
