this creature came out of a rock for a se od and then went back in again. It looks like a long legged star. The long legs have stripes of white and either dark red or brown. Freaking out right now.
Please tell me this guy is a good CUC!!!

Or a striped serpent sea star (there are a couple of striped types). Either way good CUC but maybe look these up (brittle and serpent) to see if it matches yours. It's a bit hard to tell because it's partially hidden.
