wow. looked like fish not worms. thats crazy. i agree with the above. mroe then once i have picked up a rock only to slam my fingers on one hidden under the rock. figer swells up and is sore for a good couple days sometimes. one here and there does not seem so bad after seeing this

These ones look different than the usual Aquarium variety though. Looks as if they only have bristles on about 1/3 of the length. The rest is like some sort of swim tail....maybe they shed the bristles at some point so they can swim?

Man, I can remember a bristleworm that came out of my half circle tank that was up for probably 3 years. It was at least a foot or two long, no joke. I was in the bottom of my garbage can that I used to move water and rock when I moved the tank to my new house, and it went halfway around that can. It was a monster.
