Hello everyone, I recently (1/20) set up a 40g breeder. I built the stand and canopy. I also drilled my tanks overflow. Im using an eshopps sump and skimmer. My return is a mag 550. I originally had 60 lbs of rock but now only have about 40 lbs. Less in more sometimes. The sandbed is about 2-3" thick in some spots. Im running full spectrum taos. When I set my tank up I was running a fixture with rapid leds, quad t5s, and moonlights. I quit running that fixture due to not being able to keep the leds working. Live stock- 2 snoflakes, 1 mandarin, goby pistol pair, 1 bicolor basslet, 1 bicolor blenny. I have a conch, 10 hermits, 20 snails and a cleaner shrimp. My tank has been doing very well. I have about 30 pieces of lps. I plan to keep it an lps only tank. Please let me know what you all think.

This is my old 135g. I got rid of it in December. 1 of our twins was diagnosed with epilepsy and I didnt want to neglect the tank. I thought I was going to be out of the hobby for more than 4 weeks. Couldnt stay away. Haha

Nicely done. The 40 looks big in the first image. Great scape.

And yet another BIG WELCOME to R2R. Great looking 40B Reef and should provide therapeutic relief for both you and your kid..... giving an awesome excuse for the two of you to sit in front of it and watch for hours.

Cheers, Todd

Thanks Todd, if only I could get him to sit for more then 2 minutes. Lol

Thanks, im still not completely sold on the rock scape. Contimplating whether I should change it...

No! Be happy as it is. Once you stick those hands in you'll think to yourself what the heck did I just do. Lol Check out my 40 in the member's tank area. Mr. D's AIO 40. What do you not like about your scape?

Started building my new canopy. Its house my led inside. No more hanging from wall led. Woohoo. Just need to sand and paint.

Canopy was a success. Still need to remove the old wall mount unit.
