Well i feel the need to start a build log, This is going to be a slow build log with lots of questions since this is my first aquarium rather freshwater or saltwater.
So lets start we have a local Facebook page here in Jacksonville FL i have always looked at various setups and stuff i couldn't afford. Well one day i came across this deal here
Nuvo 40 tank and stand still up and running with no live stock
and pretty much everything the guy had to go with it
got it all for 260$ !
It was only listed as tank and stand for 200$ i was sitting at dinner with the wife and her exact words were as soon as i seen the look in your eye i knew u were gonna buy it.

So here it is at the Gentleman's house still set up only didn't have a light he sold it off already.

Got it home and got it on the porch 3 gallons of vinegar then filled with water from the hose. let run for about 5 hours then ran to Walmart and got a scraper.

Looks much better now after some scrubbing. It sucks there are some impossible places in the rear sump that are not perfectly clean :( i let it sit like this and overflow for about 3 hours just rinsing stuff out from the vinegar

Got it all rinsed out and wiped down installed it is not leveled yet waiting till i fill for that.
(See my future reef lover there ?)

This is some of the stuff that came with the tank. Not sure what size the ghost skimmer is says rated for 40 gallons. Jager 100w heater, Hydor 425gph power head, Apc battery back up. Random pump.

Random UV STERILIZER i don't think i am going to hook this up might sell it.

And a but ton of test/supplies idk what of this is good and bad yet of course the Red Sea test kits were a awesome catch.

Nice deal!!! Welcome to the IM40 Club. I've had mine for about 6 months now.

Pretty good deal, man. Welcome to the IM40 club!
Thanks seems like a very well built tank. Cleaning the sump area is going to be fun. But i guess that comes with the territory.

You should go ahead and pick up that Skimmer BRS is trying to sell you. That's not a bad deal. I just got one for my IM40 and it's great haha.

I'm curious to see how you clean the sump. It's kind of stupid how they don't have the chambers go all the way down.

See i was lucky i had the tank on the porch empty so it was high pressure water hose into all the edges lol,
And i stuck my hands in there and wiped down as much as i could, As far as once its set up ya i have no clue how to keep it clean
