Wow that looks amazing! Well done! Can you post some progression pictures?

Thank you very much! I don't have any progression photos. Maybe here in the future as it grows. The reef is not very old maybe a little over a year and a half.

Ok cool... I was just curious because I just started up a 38 gallon and I am trying to figure out how I want to scape it... I love how yours is... Also how do you like that light so far… I'm still debating whether to go with a MH or LED

I went with the island look for a couple of reasons. One is that I can get flow around the whole reef. Second IMO its a more natural look. I am not a LED guy. I love the look of a metal halide. The shimmer the brightness and the "pop" it gives some of my corals. I really like having the open top reef. I like for my reef to "breath" so to speak. With an open top I get good gas exchange at the surface. Also I get a lot of evaporation so fresh water is constantly being added. I love the look of the fixture plus Im partial to a mogul bulb.

This is an absolutely beautiful tank! :)

Thanks guys. Im in an apartment so very limited on the size reef I can have. Looking forward to buying a house here shortly.

Great looking tank!!! I just got the same tank from a friend, I had planned on setting it up as basic frag tank but now I'm seriously considering it as a second display.

Thank you. It works out well for a display. Just make sure your "got to have" coral list isn't very long..LOL!!

Just purchased my new Canon Rebel T3i. So pics may be a little on the novice side...still learning.
