So long list of stuff. Anem RBTA has been happy for months then finally my clown found it. Yay! But.....now it seems unhappy. Recently adjusted lights an hour for daylight savings time. Added chiller, new return pump, replaced new skimmer, did 10% water change, cleaned back chambers. Amonia 0, nitrite 0 nitrates 10 -20ppms (can't get them below but have been around this range for months.) Salinity 1.024.... temps stsy around 78-79 so he was happily planted for a long time then the day after these changes and the clown bonding with him he moved. All over. And isnt all happily stretched out. See pictures.

then my clown found it and it started wandering all over. Raising up high. Then yo back of the tank then he's here. Still under actinics for morning.

Will he be ok? Is this normal?

It looks good in the last picture. One possibility is the nem is a bit small to host both clowns. Some clowns can be too rough on the nem. Wait it out and see what happens.

What’s your alk and po4 at?

What sort of lights are you using? Not that i know what lights qualify as good enough for nems or anything, but it sort of looks like it is reaching for more light in the last photo posted. Just a thought.

it could be with all the cleaning and a water change it upset the balance of what he was used to. Stability is sometimes Key . He may improve if you leave things alone for a bit. However with all the cleaning and a water change it may cause a split...

Dkh 10, po4 at .08, ph 8.0, but was 7.9. He's been planted all day on the right side. I was just think I swapped the actinic bulb I'm the day before as well....

I had several that would move with the light cycle that my clowns hosted. Appears healthy, I would wait it out and let it be.

I run GFO(and carbon) passively, and do PWC every 7-10 days with IO reef crystals. My LPS is thriving. I don't dose anything but have a hard time keeping dkh up and ph above 7.9.

He's found a footing on my pukani and seems happy. I'll keep an eye on him. I hate that hydors don't have a foam shroud, I use mesh screen from micheals.

But also from the looks of it he might be just trying to adjust to your new flow levels and lighting levels to account for the changes made too

He was there now he's back out front lol

I think he found his spot. If you don't change the light and flow, he would stay put.

Stayed for two days now he's attached the the glass on the front of the aquarium lol just his big foot. Lol I'm grabbing a piece of cured pukani. Hopefully he'll like that to plant his foot in.

I have personally found the better the hole for them to plant there foot. The more likely they will stay put. I have one nem that is dead center on a rock in the sand bed. It has a nice sized crevice. The Nem Planted like a flag and hasn't budged. Light has stayed the same the last 3 months flow has changed thrice.
