I got a sailfin tang about a month ago and he's been doing great. However I was dog sitting last night and I come home to this. People watching the tank said he was perfect last night

He's not swimming well since it effected his fin. I only keep rock anenomies and mini carpets. I assume it was the mini? I was pretty sure it was a sting so I wasn't too concerned, give him some disease prevention food and give him stress guard. Then I noticed he was missing a chunk out of his head!

Still just a sting? Should I just keep watching him? Should I do something else? Or should I prepare for the worst?

He's gotten much worse. I don't think he's going to make it through the night. I'm staying up until he passes

It's alright. Thank you guys. I did what I could with the supplies I had. Hard to get emergency supplied at 1 am. Tried to do a quick qt tank but I was out of bacteria so getting him separated was the best I could do.
