Anemone acting strange

So my buddy bought this big BTA. In his tank, it would deflate, fall off rocks, inflate for a day, deflate, fall off rocks. His tank being set up for much less time than mine, I took it to see if it was just his tank not being ready.

I put it in a 12 gallon I set up for an anemone and a couple clowns. First few days, this thing was looking spectacular. But now its gone into the same deflate, fall, inflate routine. When it deflates, its mouth was open. When its inflated, its mouth is tightly closed and big looking healthy.

I have nems in my big tank that look great and are thriving, so I am no newb to nems. But this has me worried. I'm not sure what to do with it. I feed the tank daily with mysis, a few times a day.

Any ideas what possible issues may be?

Parameters are spot on. Nitrates probably at .15

Is the BTA new to the tank? The Clowns may be stressing it out. I'm assuming it's not bleached, but if it is, that would explained the symptoms.

Well in my buddies tank, there were no clowns in it

It is fairly bleached though

I could get one but it's currently attached to my thermometer, glass style and facing the wrong direction.

If it's fairly bleached then that is probably causing the symptoms. A picture could help.

No picture necessary. Was looking really good one day, came home and it was brown and fuzzy. Just about to fall apart..it now resides in my septic tank.
