Anemone and other corals

I’m thinking of buying a black widow ANEMONE. MY only concern is will the Anenmoe have the tendency to attack my other corals? I have a a few euphyllia and couple of SPS‘s. I’m hearing horror stories that it can hit itself on the WAV and nuke my tank and kill all my other corals. thoughts?

If you want to get any kind of nem for your tank, 100% get some covering for your wave maker.. I have personally lost my BWA this way.. I had to clean about 50% of my water and all was fine but boy was it a mess......


1.cover wave maker with some sort of guard. Etsy has a lot of 3d printed ones if you do not have one for your wave maker.
2. make sure there is rocks/crevices for the anemone to makes its home. I would kill the pump/wavemaker for like 20 mins for it to settle though the likelihood if it wanting to move is still likely so just be aware..

for the most part it should be fine.

Mine co-exist pretty well with most of my corals, but one did move and overtake a small mushroom due to my clownfish constantly harassing it. For the most part, anemones will avoid being in direct conflict with corals - and once they find a nice cave or crevice to attach to they pretty much stay put. They will usually move around for the first few days - even if you put them in an ideal location.

I see your tank has only been wet since around November. I would recommend waiting another 6 months before getting an anemone.
