I’ve searched through this forum and all over the internets! I believe he is just upside down, but would like y’all’s opinions.

Yes; many caves and other dark areas that it could go to when the lights are on. Why do you ask?
That's good. They need dark areas (asking because I can only see the small section of the tank and it looks very lit up)

How long have you had it? Any info you can provide will likely help others help you better...

Going on three days. The first two days he looked completely normal. Moved around a bit looking for a spot and settled down half through day two. It didn’t move and looked very happy until this afternoon when that bubble part appeared. Comparing to other searches and pictures, it seems to just be upside down, but I’m not positive. Here is another picture.

The nem is, indeed, upside down, trying to move it's foot to a solid attachment point. Lean a tile against that rock so it can attach, then place it near the rock so it can situate itself.

I could be out in left field (and I sometimes am) but it looks like its upside down and we're looking at the foot on the top. Can you gently put it in a small container or something inside the tank for a bit and see if it can get right side up? Looks like it's struggling...

That’s similar to what @StatelineReefer just recommended. I’m going to try it out.

Unhappy for a possible few reasons. Location, tank maturity, parameters, flow or lighting.

@StatelineReefer and @TokenReefer So I get home and it finally righted itself, so yeah it ended being upside down. However, in doing so it managed to get itself wedged and was definitely unhappy. I moved it out; hopefully it recovers. It does seem happier, it’s filled out a bit from when he was wedged.

Don't ever move an anemone or move rocks to find it. It just makes things worse.

I didn’t have to look, he wedged himself between the glass and rock and was very thin and looking very unhappy. Did I make it worse by unwedging him?

Nice. It may move again be warned. They'll move til they find a spot they like; you might be able to make a spot favorable with flow/light in hopes it'll like it but there's no guarantee unfortunately. Definitely try not to physically handle the nem if possible; let the flow/light move it... It may hide for a bit in the dark while it acclimates to your tank and adjusts its zooxanthellae, just let it do it's thing. Just my .02 :) Best of luck

Anemone will always go where they like best. Getting hands on just adds to the stress. Only time to move them is entering or exiting the tank.

So a bit of an update. He looked to be doing much better, was even moving around. I target fed and it ate. Today it’s now doing what is posted in the picture. Any ideas?

They just do that sometimes. Could be pooping or could be angry. Just leave it alone. Do not feed it! They do not need food and feeding a new nem is always trouble.

The no feeding is new; I’ve received different thoughts on that. Regardless I’m not messing with it anymore.

Yeah I have had different anemones for many many years and really never fed them. They will get light and a few random pieces of food from fish leftovers. Keep your parameters stable and it will be fine.
