So my nem has been doing great for a week. Doing laps around the tank

Doing his thing finding a good place to hang out

Tonight I get home and he has almost turned himself inside out?
Can just barley see the tentacles and mostly see his foot???
Help!

I have a very sensitive tang in the tank and if there is any chance the BTA is during I’m taking him out
Has anyone seen this?

So I got him a 4 days ago
Been doing what I thought was great

I have not tried to feed him yet
The only thing I have handy is blood worms pellets and flakes
Was planning to get him some silverside tomorrow
So he has not eaten in say 4 days

Pics coming stand by

It’s fine. Totally normal. But I wouldn’t feed it silversides. I feed reef frenzy. They love it. Bought 2 last November and now have 12. Sold 2.

Understand this about Nems...

It is normal for them to inflate and deflate. All of my nems deflate and reinflate daily. This is how they excrete waste. Looks bad, but it's normal.

I wouldn't target feed period

Inside out is bad. Receding into the base/foot is normal at times.

I don’t understand the different

He was was planted on a rock, fully extended

His foot Came up around him and he now looks literally like a stuffed mushroom from a restaurant with just a few tentacles peaking out on top

I rarely target feed... maybe 1 or 2 times per month. Maybe.

When I do, they get dried krill, soaked in tank water so they don't float and are easier for the Nem to hold.

Anemones can turn literally inside out, picture a long sock on your foot. When you pull it up, it hides your calves. This is like when a nem pulls its foot over its mouth/tentacles. Now take the sock off and turn it inside out, this is a dead or dying anemone.
