What sort of feeding schedule/diet should my new Sebae be fed?

Newer to coral in general, last anemone(green bubble tip) we got from our LFS the girl didn't tell us we had to feed it. That was 2 years ago. Learn alot. Just making sure to keep this one!!

Thanks in advance!!

If proper lighting is provided most anemones do not need to be fed at all. This includes BTA and Sebae. What light do you have over the tank, how long has the tank been running, what are your water params? The more info you can give the better we will be able to help.

I would feed it weekly. I would not feed it for the first week. Be sure its good food like, Rods frozen meaty stuff or fresh live clams chopped. 1 or 2 pieces about 1/2 the size of its mouth.
As said above they really dont need to be fed with great lighting unless you want them to get real big

3 Chinese black box light( came when I inherited tank 150g bow front) upgrading when taxes get back
Salinty 1.026
Ph. 8.2
Nitrites 0
Nitrates around 10ish( if that)
Calcium 460
Alk 11( use salinty salt)
Ammonia 0
Dont have a mag or phosphate test kit yet.
All other corals are doing great.

I feed mysis frozen to my fish. No clowns have taken to it yet. Where can I get rods to look into that type of food more?

Most Live fish stores have either Rods foods or LRS frozen foods. You can also feed small pieces of raw shrimp from the grocery store. I buy the frozen ones that are de-veined and shelled. I don't really feed mine often, maybe once a month they will get some food. They get everything they need from the lights.

Your black box lights should provide plenty of light depending on what you have them set at.

You can thaw it and feed the nem the big pieces with tweezers

Ok great. I just wasnt trying to let this one die. Any special care I should do or things to watch out for?

It is on a rock I put in the sand bed in the center of the tank with more lighting. And its attached to the rock looks like very well since I got it saturday.

So just thaw it in some tank water like I do my mysis? And feed it that way?

Infections are the main issue. Mostly caused by torn foot or damage. If it turns inside out or looks weird post a picture

The girl didn't tell you you have to feed the bta because you don't have to feed the bta. Or sebae either, provided you have sufficient lighting.

Well see I was told by other people I should've fed it. Like i said. Learned alot from when we i inherited the tank.

I've had a Sebae for 18 years, and it does fine with occasional direct feedings from a turkey baster of the frozen mix that I feed the rest of the tank. It catches some on its own as it blows by in the current even if I don't directly feed it. I used to feed it larger pieces of food but it got so huge, then I cut back on feedings and now it is a more managable size.
