Hi guys I am sorry for the spam but my anemone keeps on closing up during the daytime


My DKH is at 11.3 during the morning and at night from 12.1-12.5


My PH changes from 7.8-8.2 without any dosing moving a natural way as it increases at night


My nitrates are 0


Any suggestions why my anemone is not active


At night it is more active than in the day time

Could it be active at night due to the PH

How old is your tank? How long have you had it?

If you just recently added it to your tank, it could take a few days to acclimate.

I have had it for four months and my tank is 10 years old my other anemone I had for six months and it is doing well not sure why my green one is doing it but let me show you an update of what it is doing now

Here is an update today at 11:08 AM Pacific Time I have not fed it since Sunday

While they do this after a feeding, can also be hiding due to too much light and/or water flow. If this is a tank less than 4 months old, may be another reason

I use 90 percent blue and 40 percent white light

your probably correct on the lighting because I get daylight until 8PM while my thing lights up blue during 5 compared to the time I got it earlier. I get daylight pretty early while the tank turns itself on during 7:50 AM
