I have a 20 gallon that's fresh cycled, dry rock is in. Ready to start adding anemone and coral along with 2 clownish eventually.

My question is how long should I wait, if at all after cycling and adding dry rock to buy and acclimate an anemone? Also should I add the clown before / after / with the anemone? The anemone and clowns will be the only thing in the tank other than LPS and some zoas. Thanks

I would wait at least 6 months before adding an anemone.

Even though the tank is cycled, your parameters will fluctuate in a new tank.

It should be ok.

Clowns don't need anemones to survive.

As long as your cycle is complete, you should be good.

As always, add livestock slowly to avoid mini-cycles.

Agree, clownfishes OK after cycle is complete, but no sooner than 6 months before adding an anemone.
