Its green, but someone said it was irridesent because of the stripes. So what would you call it?

Impossible to tell with the blue lights. Sorry. My screen shows it blue with white highlights makes me think it is more beige and white. :)

I just been calling it green, but all the greens ive seen online are green. They dont have the stripes.

Some have stripes, but I agree hard to tell anything under all blue light

With haddoni in particular, sometimes the white patches are stress related, and once it settles in they fade or disappear completely.

Even without the white lights, I'd guess brown/beige or army green. There are bright green haddoni, but these are oftentimes referred to as neon, highlighter, or fluorescent green.

I dont think the white is stress related. This anemone has been in my system for 3 years and thriving.

Maybe it's constantly stressed? Just kidding.

I've seen videos of both haddoni and gigantea in the wild and they had white patches as well. I highly doubt that they were stressed.

white patches are one thing, but I've seen a number striped, they kinda remind me of a watermelon w/ stridations coming from mouth of light beige or much lighter green

The first thing that comes to mind when I see a nem taken in all blue is that it is bleached. So your guess is as good as mine.

I too like the blue for moons, and the poppy black light poster look it does for corals, but for main daytime display I like a natural daylight look, and if you're doing a health or ID check, that is best, otherwise it's just a blob of blue and hard to tell much of anything.

I agree. The nem is definitely green. I was only asking if the stripes would make it "iridescent"? Most of the green haddoni i see online are pretty much green. My other question is why does it have the stripes?

No, the stripes do not make it iridescent. But people can call it whatever they want for marketing purposes.

If you're running blues 100% of the time, it could explain why the stripes haven't gone away.

Typically, when there are white areas of a nem, it means they're bleached (the absence of zoox). That's why people say the nem is stressed when they see white patches or stripes, and under proper conditions -- ideal lighting for example -- the patches or stripes go away.

I should correct my comment that anything LIGHT will pop under actinics, I agree there should be no white on a host nem, but, there are hadonni that do have a stripe like appearance, very light green against dark green, or beige.

Liveaquaria used to have a pic up of one like this, but their pics have been changed, but I've seen this many times, actual stripes, not patches, that is what I'm talking about
