I got my first BTA, and got one that after researching more was headed towards being bleached. After putting in the tank the first two weeks the anemone FLOURISHED. he was always open and never moved etc. Then the pH for an unknown reason went on a very wacky trip and was bouncing high and low. After I got that under control, the bta was very dramatic for weeks. (understandably) he would shrivel up constantly and take THE MOST MASSIVE poops. (To the point his intestines would come out a little with them and I would panic that he was dead/dying and he would finish pooping and all would be fine). He was becoming more clear in the tentacles so after doing a lot of research, feed him very small meals every day. He does not typically attempt to bring the food to his mouth if i place on his outer edge. If i place (very gently) near his mouth he seems to eat. (or i miss him spitting it out). He has become more opaque again. He is a creamy tan color not bright white at all. What i was reading was that meant he was producing zooanthallae. What I am concerned about is that he does not fluoresce green (he is a green bta) even under blue lights. Does this mean I am on the right track?

I think you are on the right track trying to feed it, agree re zooanthellae. Do you have the other spectrums running too? I found mine coloured up a lot better when I added more UV to the mix (slowly). The flourescence of corals is like their sunscreen
